Project overview
Magnolia Development is a web development consultancy that specializes in accessibility and they are seeking to grow their clientele
Problem
How can we redesign the Magnolia Development website to emphasize our specialties and attract the desired clientele?
Challenges
Due to an aggressive timeline, I needed to maintain the integrity of the UX design process while aligning with deadlines.
User Research
The goal of Magnolia Development’s Website redesign was to attract clients who aligned with Magnolia’s culture and values.
To learn more about our ideal client, I conducted user interviews to identify different stakeholder types and their specific goals and attitudes.
An affinity map capturing notes, pain points, and opportunities from user interviews.
Personas
After conducting user interviews, I created two personas to identify client types including their unique needs and goals.
The Business-Minded Executive persona is mainly concerned with profit and ensuring they are investing their money wisely.
The Tech-Savvy Executive persona is concerned about technical acumen and receiving a technically robust product.
Journey Map
After identifying different client types, I created a journey map to outline the client's journey in finding a web development consultancy.
A journey map identifying steps in the client’s journey of identifying a web development consultancy to work with including goals, opportunities, metrics, and attitudes.
Low-Fidelity Design
I created a low-fidelity prototype to set the stage for the structure and flow of the website.

Redesign
After conducting usability testing, I created a high-fidelity prototype of the Magnolia Development website.
Some changes included adding images and iconography for better recognition, removing squiggly dividers for a more professional feel, and adjusting blog post sizes to maintain consistency.
